Alum Tony Peffer Named Finalist for Bemidji State Provost

BEMIDJI (MINNESOTA) PIONEER -- Peffer is special assistant to the president at Castleton (Vermont) University, where he has served in a variety of roles. Previously, he has been Castleton’s chief academic officer, dean of undergraduate studies and associate academic dean. Before joining the administration at Castleton, he was a faculty member and associate dean at Ohio University Eastern, a faculty member at Lakeland College including time as chair of the Division of Social Sciences and a faculty member at Prestonsburg Community College. Peffer earned a Bachelor’s degree in history from Morehead State University, a Master’s in divinity from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master’s degree in History from San Francisco State University and a doctorate in history from Carnegie Mellon University.
