Tuesday, May 23, 2017

These video clips are the part of a series highlighting recent readings held by SF State’s Poetry Center and American Poetry Archives. Visit this website regularly for fresh poetic content.

On March 2, The Poetry Center presented a reading and conversation with Layli Long Soldier and Truong Tran. In March, all Poetry Center programs were dedicated to the theme “Because We Come from Everything: Poetry and Migration,” shared with 30-plus organizations across the U.S. engaged in the Poetry Coalition.

Long Soldier reads from Whereas (Graywolf Press, 2017).

Tran reads an unpublished poem about the challenges of college teaching.
