REDLANDS DAILY FACTS -- Raymond Wise, director of the African American Arts Institute at Indiana University, Bloomington, will lead a gospel choral workshop November 22 at University of Redlands. Participants will receive original copies of Wise’s arrangements and spend three hours singing and performing gospel music. As a singer, pianist, composer, director, conductor, lecturer and teacher, Wise regularly serves for orchestras, opera companies and choral festivals throughout the nation and abroad. He attended Denison University in Granville, Ohio, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in music. He did additional studies in opera, art and German at the Institute for European Studies in Vienna and in African-American history, music and dance at San Francisco State University.
