Writers on Writing: Mary Winegarden

Lecturer Mary Winegarden discusses her poetry memoir The Translator's Sister. Winegarden has taught comparative world literature and English at SF State for 21 years. Her translations of Russian poets were published in Crossing Centuries: The New Generation in Russian Poetry, and her poems have appeared in the journal 26. Free.

The Creative Writing Department opens its Writers on Writing course to the public every Monday evening of the semester. Taught by Professor Camille Dungy, the course features faculty and visiting writers reading from their works and discussing their creative process.
