Cal State Los Angeles Afro Latin Ensemble and Jazz Combos

The Afro Latin Ensemble of California State University, Los Angeles, has established itself as one of the most exciting student music ensembles of its kind in the nation. It has performed with many guest artists of international stature including Pablo Menendez, Orestes Vilato, Frank Emilio Flynn, Edgardo Cambon, Gonzalo Chomat, Adonis Puentes and Fausto Cuevas. Jazz combos at Cal State Los Angeles are as varied as the musicians who comprise them, allowing students to refine their skills as improvisers and performers in a collaborative music-making environment that encourages exploration and innovation. Directed by Jeff Benedict and James Ford.
