The Creative Writing Department opens its Writers on Writing course to the public every Monday evening of the semester. Taught by Donna de la Perrière, the course features faculty and visiting writers reading from their works and discussing their creative process.
Joseph Lease
Lease’s critically acclaimed books of poetry include Broken World, Human Rights and The Room. His poems have been featured on National Public Radio and published in Bay Poetics, The AGNI 30th Anniversary Poetry Anthology, VQR, The Paris Review and elsewhere. Lease’s poem “‘Broken World’ (For James Assatly)” appeared in The Best American Poetry, edited by Robert Creeley and David Lehman. Lease is a professor at California College of the Arts.
