Moten is the Helen L. Bovington Professor of Modern Poetry at Duke University. His field is black studies, where he works at the intersection of performance, poetry and critical theory. He is author of Arkansas, Poems (with Jim Behrle), In the Break: The Aesthetics of the Black Radical Tradition, I ran from it but was still in it, Hughson’s Tavern and B Jenkins.
