Matvei Yankelevich
Matvei Yankelevich is founding editor and co-executive director of Ugly Duckling Presse. His most recent books are the poetry collection Alpha Donut and the novella-in-fragments Boris by the Sea. He is also the author of several chapbooks, including The Nature Poetry of Matvei Yankelevich, The Present Work and Writing in the Margin. His writing has appeared in ActionYes, BOMB Magazine, Boston Review, The Brooklyn Rail, Damn the Caesars, Fence, Open City, Tantalum, Zen Monster and other little magazines. Yankelevich has taught at Long Island University, Columbia University, Bard College, Colorado College and Hunter College.
Julien Poirier
Julien Poirier is a founding member of Ugly Duckling Presse, where he co-edited 6×6 and edited New York Nights newspaper from 2001 to 2006. His editorial projects included Jack Micheline’s One of a Kind, Steve Dalachinsky’s In Glorious Black and White, Stan Apps’ Soft Hands, and Cedar Sigo’s Selected Writings (editions 1 and 2). He is the author of El Golpe Chileno, the Ugly Duckling Presse chapbook Stained Glass Windows of California and numerous other chapbooks. He lives in Berkeley.
