A street, a storm, a shadow who plays the blues. An alley of hidden women spouting poetry. A husband who loses every cent, and abandons his life to go crashing through the Mission. To Salsa Salcido, private eye, it's all a bad novella till the abandoned wife walks in and grabs her by the heart. So now she's hunting through the Great Recession's fallout for someone she never hopes to find. Contains adult themes and language. Not recommended for children. April 10-April 12 and April 17-19, 8pm. April 13 and April 20, 2pm. $8.

Maybe it’s not quite an opera, but it is full of songs, and arias in the form of monologues and slam poems. Drawn from the stories of ordinary lives rocked by the economic upheaval, In Hollow Time is scripted and composed by Roy Conboy and developed through a group process with a team of student artists and alumni.
