Internationally renowned cinematographers Vilmos Zsigmond and Yuri Neyman present a public lecture the evening before a private master class with Cinema graduate students. Zsigmond and Neyman are founders of the Global Cinematography Institute. Free.

Vilmos Zsigmond

Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC, HSC, won the Academy Award for Best Cinematography for Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Other credits include The Deer Hunter, Black Dahila and McCabe and Mrs. Miller.

Yuri Neyman

Yuri Neyman, ASC, graduated from the world-reputable Moscow's Film School VGIK. He is best known for his cult classic film Liquid Sky and modern film noir D.O.A. He also has credits on commercials, music videos and the patented invention of Gamma and Density’s Co. 3cP System, first ever on the set color correction workflow.

This event kicks off the Cinema Department’s fall speaker and master-class series. Cinema students and the Bay Area community will engage expert cinematographers in rigorous discourse.
