One of Moliere's most beloved comedies: where love, knowledge and the pursuit of both battle it out against hilarious odds. The "scholar" and mediocre poet Trissotin has a woman, her sister and aunt completely in his thrall. For these three ladies are "learned" -- their obsession in life is learning and culture of the most pretentious kind, and Trissotin is their special protege and the fixture of their literary salon. Translated by Richard Wilbur. Directed by Delia Mac Dougall. March 5 -7, 8pm. March 8, 2pm. March 12 - 14, 8pm. March 15, 2pm. $8-$15.
