Côrtes and Amaral form the duo Cordal, bringing to the stage a musical dialogue brimming with creativity and improvisational freedom, sharing their unique personalities and the experience gathered from solo careers in national concerts and abroad. Cordal encompasses both original compositions and new arrangements from major Brazilian artists Gilberto Gil and Milton Nascimento. The repertoire presents the viola caipira (Brazilian 10-string guitar), mandolin, and classical and electric guitars. In concert, Côrtes and Amaral show their contemporary approach to the diversity of Brazilian music styles, incorporating the sounds of the southeast (pagode de viola and cateretê) and northeast (baião and frevo), choro and samba.
