Michael Gizzi's Collected Poems, a celebration

Some two dozen poets from the Bay Area and beyond read from the late poet's work. Michael Gizzi's Collected Poems (The Figures, 2015) was edited by his friends, Clark Coolidge and Craig Watson, with an introduction by William Corbett, and includes all of the poet's books, plus more than 100 pages of unpublished poetry covering 1975 - 2010. Free.

Michael Gizzi (1949 –) received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in literature from Brown University, worked as an arborist and taught high school in the Berkshires. He later taught at Roger Williams University and Brown. The author of 20 books of poetry, he organized scores of poetry readings, edited Hard Press and founded QUA Books with Craig Watson. He died in Providence, Rhode Island, in September 2010.
