The selections for this year's Romanian film festival focus on individuals whose destinies have been shaped by the particularities of family and place. Either at their first works, or as established artists, these filmmakers have all received international acclaim for their bold and exceptional storytelling. November 6, 4 - 10pm. The Romanian film festival continues its series of interdisciplinary and comparative discussions on the realities of Eastern Europe in today’s increasingly globalized world, as seen from a Romanian perspective.
Presenters include the School of Cinema; Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies at Stanford University; Special Language Program at Stanford University; and Institute of Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies at University of California, Berkeley.
