Presented by the School of Music at SF State, this master class has been graciously facilitated by San Francisco Performances, which will present Yang with SF State’s quartet-in-residence, the Alexander String Quartet, on Nov. 10 in Herbst Theatre. They will perform the piano quintets of Schumann, Schnittke and Brahms.

Yang captivates audiences with her virtuosity, lyricism, and interpretive prowess. As a Van Cliburn International Piano Competition silver medalist and Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient, Yang showcases her colorful musical personality in solo recitals and collaborations with the world’s top orchestras and chamber musicians.
