Warren was born where the Santa Ana winds blow, and has lived in the Bay Area since 2005, or 2001 if Santa Cruz counts. The author of many chapbooks, including Grindin’, Acting OutWell-Meaning White Girl and Cousins, Warren formerly co-curated The (New) Reading Series at 21 Grand, has contributed to SFMOMA’s Open Space and co-edits the Poetic Labor Project. She won The Poetry Center Book Award earlier this year.

The Creative Writing Department opens its Writers on Writing course to the public on Mondays this semester. Taught by Robert Glück, the course features faculty and visiting writers reading from their works and discussing their creative process.
