Inara Morgenstern

Lecturer Inara Morgenstern has taken an active role in the Bay Area classical music scene for more than three decades in both teaching and performing roles. Although born in Vienna, Austria, Morgenstern is Latvian by descent. She received her Master’s Degree in Piano Performance from SF State and has done doctoral work at Stanford University. In addition to teaching piano and music theory at SF State, Morgenstern has accompanied many recitals at University of California, Santa Cruz, and assisted several opera productions. She assisted at the piano vocal luminaries, such as Boris Goldowsky, Jess Thomas and Blanche Thebom as well as accompanied members of the San Francisco Symphony and Opera Chorus. In Morgenstern’s solo piano performances, she recently has championed compositions by Nicolai Medtner, Amy Beach, Charles Griffes and Leo Ornstein.

Victoria Neve

Neve teaches piano and music theory. She has distinguished herself as a piano soloist, chamber musician, duo pianist and accompanist throughout Northern California and in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Kansas and Tennessee. Her appearances include presentations for the College Music Society, National Conference on Women in Music, Memphis State Music Festival and State Convention of the California Association of Professional Music Teachers. Neve has performed as a piano soloist on National Public Radio’s “Early Series,” as well as on KQED in San Francisco, KPFA in Berkeley and the UC Santa Cruz radio station.
