Longmore Lecture in Disability Studies: Mia Mingus on Access Intimacy

Mia Mingus discusses her work related to access intimacy, which she defines as "that elusive, hard to describe feeling when someone else 'gets' your access needs." Mingus is a queer, Korean, transracial, transnational adoptee and a national activist for social justice. She a 2016 Just Beginnings Collaborative fellow funded for The Living Bridges Project, an anonymous story-collecting project documenting collective responses to child sexual abuse and a core member of the Bay Area Transformative Justice Collective. Free.
