Known for its unique and imaginative concert programming -- varying wildly in style and instrumentation from djembe and contrabass flute to Nintendo Gameboy and drum set -- the A/B Duo has been delighting audiences nationwide since 2013. Free.

The A/B Duo has performed at The Green Mill in Chicago, Spectrum in New York, Center for New Music in San Francisco, Eastman School of Music, Oberlin Conservatory and other venues. Recent festival engagements include the NMASS Festival in Austin, Texas, and Rockage 4.0 in San Jose.

The bicoastal duo — percussionist Christopher G. Jones from Rochester, New York, and flutist Meerenai Shim from the Bay Area — has commissioned works from American composers including Drew Baker, Zack Browning, Andrea La Rose, Ned McGowan, Brendon Randall-Myers, Ivan Trevino and Ken Ueno. Many of A/B Duo’s commissions can be heard on its album, Variety Show (Aerocade Music label) on 2013 EP Things We Dream About.
