This Close follows Kate and Michael, who are deaf, as they balance their personal lives and careers. Recently engaged, Kate struggles to find opportunities to grow in her career, while Michael attempts to get over a broken heart. Based on a short-form series that premiered at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival, This Close is an exploration of Kate and Mike’s relationship as best friends and their longing to be understood.
