Born in Ventura, Tom Temprano (B.A., Political Science, ’09) served as president of the Harvey Milk LGBT Democratic Club in 2013 and 2014. He is co-owner of Virgil's Sea Room, a neighborhood bar in San Francisco's Mission District. He is an outspoken advocate for San Francisco’s small businesses and serves as the small business community representative and past co-chair of the SOMA Community Stabilization Fund Community Advisory Committee. He also is a founding board member of San Francisco’s Mission-Bernal Merchants Association.
