Tuesday, March 12, 2019, 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
Francesco Spagnolo, curator of the Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life at UC Berkeley, discusses his “mapping diasporas” project. Spagnolo’s research has culminated in a new digital humanities course, series of documentary films and exhibition that reveals the compelling personal stories of migration and dispossession that are often embedded within museum objects. Reception to follow. This event is part of the Global Museum’s Conversations on Culture: Diaspora series. Free.
