Roger Woodward

Professor Roger Woodward, named a “living national treasure” by the National Trust of Australia, has recorded more than 100 albums and videos of concertos, chamber and contemporary music and performed in 45 countries covering five continents. He joined San Francisco State in 2002.

Paul Yarbrough

Yarbrough is a native of Clearwater, Florida, and a founding member of the Alexander String Quartet. His teachers have included Elaine Lee Richey, Lillian Fuchs, Raymond Page and Sally Peck. A frequent soloist with orchestras, Yarbrough has also given numerous solo recitals throughout the U.S. and was principal violist of the Chamber Orchestra of New England. In 1995, Yarbrough and his Alexander String Quartet colleagues received Honorary Doctorates of Fine Arts from Allegheny College for their service to the arts and education and an Honorary Degree from St. Lawrence University. He serves on the board of the San Francisco Friends of Chamber Music.
