Tyler “Ty” Musgrave is a newcomer to the virtual-reality medium, an experienced restorative justice practitioner, public servant, globetrotter and futurist. She proudly hails from the East Coast and is an alumnus of the Quaker-rooted experiential learning travel school, LIU Global College. Before relocating to the Bay Area at the beginning of 2018, Musgrave served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Cameroon, West Africa. Her current exploits include participating in an XRStudio fellowship at Mozilla, working as a restorative justice circle keeper in the Bay Area, building immersive restorative justice virtual-reality platform and coordinating operations at Mursion VR. Musgrave is very interested in diverse storytelling, the intersection of virtual-reality/augmented-reality technologies and social justice movements, and the potential that restorative justice practices hold for design and user-experience (UX) research.
