This is a staged reading of a new play about the writer Bertolt Brecht and his wife, actress Helene Weigel. The two are rehearsing at their theatre in Berlin when an American visitor asks them to sell the rights to Mother Courage. Brecht's play critical of those who profit from war could become a Broadway musical, with a Hollywood star in the title role, if only he and Weigel will allow it. Will they sell? At what price? Songs included. Directed by Joel Schechter. December 4, 7 p.m. (preview). December 5 - December 6, 7 p.m. December 7, 2 p.m. Free.
