Lisa Mendelman

Mendelman is an expert in 20th- and 21st-century American literature, with a focus on the intersections of science, emotion and categories of identity like gender and race. She has published widely in modern American literature, gender studies and the history of psychology. An assistant professor of English at Menlo College, Mendelman teaches film, visual art and popular music as well as novels and nonfiction. She holds a doctorate from University of California, Los Angeles.
