Based on Frank Wedekind’s 19th-century play of the same name, “Spring Awakening” tells the story of a group of teens discovering themselves in new ways their repressive upbringing never allowed. Tony Award winners Duncan Sheik (music) and Steven Sater (book and lyrics) penned the musical adaptation of this once-banned work. Directed by Tracy Ward. Dee Spencer, music director. April 30, 7:30 p.m. (preview). May 1 – May 2, 7:30 p.m. May 6 – May 8, 7:30 p.m. May 9, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. $8 - $20.
