Emilio Dirlikov, a medical anthropologist and epidemiologist for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, discusses information about anthropology and public health careers beyond academia. Free.

Dirlikov’s work focuses on emergency public health response to high-consequence pathogens. These include COVID-19 in China and the United States, neurologic disorders among adults following the Zika infection in Puerto Rico, Ebola in Guinea, HIV in Nigeria, dengue virus in Burkina Faso and measles in Liberia and Mozambique.
