It’s the truth. Alumna Chikako Suzuki has earned her first Emmy Award nomination, recognized for her art direction on the Showtime comedy House of Lies.

Suzuki (B.A., Drama, ’01) is nominated in the Outstanding Art Direction for Contemporary Art Program with colleagues Ray Yamagata and Tim Stepeck. They’re up against the hit shows Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory, Silicon Valley and Veep.

Suzuki is also working on set design for the new seasons of ABC’s Scandal and HBO’s The Newsroom. In 2012 she was nominated for an Excellence in Production Design Award in Art Directors Guild.

The 66th annual Primetime Emmy Awards air live at 5pm August 25 on NBC.
