RED BLUFF DAILY NEWS -- Ten college students will be receiving $15,200 worth of scholarships for the coming school year from the Dairyville Community Club. Since 1998 the club has given a total of $157,700 to Lassen View graduates who will or have entered college as freshmen and Tehama County upper division students who are majoring in some agricultural related field. Nine students who graduated from Lassen View Elementary School this past year will receive $11,200 worth of scholarships. Marjorie Tallan will receive a $1,600 scholarship and plans to attend San Francisco State University where she will be majoring in English with a minor in Creative Writing. She is the daughter of Melissa Tallan of Los Molinos.
