Professors Sarita Cannon and Geoffrey Green invite faculty and graduate students to submit 150 – 200 word proposal abstracts for consideration for the Humanities Education and Research Association conference, Beyond the Binary, scheduled for April 8 – 11.

Proposals must be submitted by October 24 through an online submission portal.

The Humanities Education and Research Association, a nonprofit organization was founded to present a new paradigm for peer-reviewed research and teaching in the humanistic, liberal and creative arts disciplines: a non-heirarchical, diverse and inclusive organization, interdisciplinary, bringing together peoples of every rank and discipline, teachers on every level, creative artists as well as scholars, for conversations about pedagogy and research, the arts, humanities and social sciences.

Since the organization’s first conference in 2009, SF State faculty and graduate students have been successful at having papers accepted by the refereed program committee.
