Alum Steven J. Warner's Film Wins at Eugene International Film Festival

UNION DEMOCRAT (SONORA) -- The black and white film, titled “Jasmine,” was written and directed by Steven J. Warner, who also co-produced the film with Jay Newington. Born and raised in San Francisco, Warner moved to Tuolumne County at age 11. He obtained a degree in writing and directing from San Francisco State University in 1996. Warner’s film was shown on November 8, with trophies presented the following day. The Board Choice Award was presented for a “Story Told So Aptly Through Images.”
