WORLD LINK (COOS BAY, OREGON) -- The new “Figuratively Speaking” show will consist of oil painting and sketches by W.M. (Wendy) Ralston-Burger of Lakeside. Ralston-Burger explores the space between light and dark, moving from experience into the future unknown. Ralston-Burger studies the interaction of light and shadow with the figure to explore these contradictions. The exhibit is retrospective and includes works created as a student at San Francisco State University, where she earned her Art degree. Particularly powerful is a pair of large ink wash on paper gestural figure studies. The studies convey the energy of the human form.
