MUSCATINE (IOWA) JOURNAL -- I’ll not comment on the legality of the letter from the 47 Senators to Iran but leave that to the legal scholars, some of whom argue it was illegal, some not. I’ll just comment on the wisdom of it. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran has B.A and M.A. degrees, both from San Francisco State University and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Denver University, all in International Relations. I’m quite sure he has as good or better understanding of International Agreements, and probably the U.S. Constitution, than the 47 Republican senators, either individually or collectively who sent their letter of advice to Iran.
