Aumnus Alex Lee Headed to Taiwan with Fulbright Grant

SAN GABRIEL VALLEY TRIBUNE -- Lee already has spent a summer in Taiwan on a teaching program and studied abroad in Amsterdam while he was at SFSU, which prepared him for living abroad and gave him a travel bug. But he also feels strongly about literature and the humanities, having majored in English literature and minored in Women and Gender Studies. “He cares about the world in general and he’s really exemplary of the students we get at SFSU,” Associate Professor Julietta Hua said. “I feel like our students are social justice-motivated and Alex is exemplary of that.”
