Constitution Day Event Features Marriage-Equality Talk

BAY AREA REPORTER -- San Francisco State University will observe Constitution Day with a two-day conference that includes a keynote address on same-sex marriage. The conference, “Rights and Wrongs,” takes place Thursday, September 17 and Friday, September 18, at the SFSU campus, 1600 Holloway Avenue. The conference begins Thursday afternoon with a screening of the 2014 award-winning documentary “Private Violence” that addresses domestic, intimate, and partner violence against women. The 2pm event is at McKenna Theatre. Friday’s events will feature panels on campaign finance and economic inequality, pornography and copyright, the Americans with Disabilities Act, corporate education and the neoliberal classroom, free speech and hate speech, technology and the Bill of Rights, immigrant rights and left politics and the politics of under-studied rights.
