Alum Daniel Weidman to be Inducted into Oroville School District's Hall of Fame

OROVILLE MERCURY-REGISTER -- Weidman, a 1969 Oroville High School graduate, will be inducted September 25 into the 2015 Oroville Union High School District Hall of Fame. During high school, he received the Bank of America Foreign Language Award and Outstanding Teenager Award. He was senior class president, a member of the National Honor Society, served on the student council and participated in drama club, cross country, track and tennis. At Butte College he earned an Associate’s degree and was the foreign language department tutor. While attending Chico State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree and a California teaching credential, Weidman spent his senior year in Aix-en-Provence, France, on the Junior Year Abroad program. He studied for his Master’s degree in French at UC Davis and San Francisco State University.
