Tuesday, November 03, 2015
KALW-FM CITY VISIONS -- Jason McDaniel, assistant professor of Political Science at San Francisco State University, joins a roundtable discussion on San Francisco propositions and candidates, including the mayor’s race. “The vast majority of people see a city where unemployment has gone down, governing through a lot of ballot initiatives, pension issues coming out of the budget crisis in 2010, around that time, 2011,” McDaniel says. “They see a mayor [Ed Lee] that’s not controversial, and those are very difficult to beat ....” “[Lee is] relatively popular and has done a relatively good job, at least according to, I think, the majority of people in the city. And he’s going to get re-elected pretty overwhelmingly.”
