Capital Stage Wraps with Alum Peter Sinn Nachtrieb's 'The Totalitarians'

BROADWAY WORLD (SACRAMENTO) -- Capital Stage completes its 2015 – 16 season with the Sacramento premiere of “The Totalitarians” by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb, directed by Capital Stage co-founder Peter Mohrmann. This “Riotous political comedy” (Bay Area Reporter) takes the audience on the campaign trail with retired roller derby star turned candidate for lieutenant governor, Penelope Easter! A dark political satire that promises to be the perfect tonic for this election year's headaches, “The Totalitarians” runs June 22 – July 24. Sinn Nachtrieb is a San Francisco-based playwright whose works include “boom” (TCG’s most produced play, 2009 – 10), “BOB” (2011 Humana Festival for New American Plays at Actor’s Theatre of Louisville, Barrie and Bernice Stavis Award), “T.I.C. (Trenchcoat In Common),” “Hunter Gatherers” (2007 Will Glickman Prize), “Colorado” and “Litter: The True Story of the Framingham Dodecutuplets.” He holds an Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from SF State.
