IMPERIAL VALLEY NEWS -- Attorney General Kamala D. Harris announced the establishment of the Racial and Identity Profiling Advisory Board, including the community and law enforcement leaders who will comprise the board membership. The board, as mandated by Assembly Bill 953 authored by Assembly member Shirley Weber, D-San Diego, is tasked with helping to eliminate racial and identity profiling in law enforcement. Timothy Walker, appointed by Harris, is a rising sophomore at San Francisco State University, where he plans to major in Political Science. He has served as a mentor at the Community Coalition, based in South Los Angeles, for the past six years. During his time there as a youth he helped lead educational based campaigns, and is now the leadership development director for the Black Student Union at San Francisco State University.
