MARIN INDEPENDENT JOURNAL -- Herbert Zettl, of Forest Knolls, received the Governors’ Award at the 45th annual Northern California Area Emmy Awards. Zettl is professor emeritus of the Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts Department at San Francisco State University. The Governors’ Award is the highest honor a regional chapter can give in recognition of outstanding and unique accomplishments that do not fall within the structure of the regular awards, according to a press release.
