Alums Carol Gordon, Lindsay Gwin Run for Vallecito School Board

CALAVERAS ENTERPRISE -- Gordon came to Calaveras County from San Francisco at age 25. She was born in New York, raised in Ohio and attended University of Wisconsin, Madison. She also holds a Master’s degree in English from San Francisco State University. Both of Gordon’s daughters attended Bret Harte High School. Gwin has owned a wine distribution company in Murphys for five years. She has been in outside sales and wine distribution since 2006. Gwin studied Journalism and mass communications at San Francisco State University and went into marketing after college. Gwin says she has a vested interest in the district because she has a young daughter who will attend its schools for many more years. She is particularly interested in making sure teachers have the resources and avenues for communication they need and that class sizes stay reasonable.
