Eager to share your best research or creative work with others? To add an impressive credit to your resume? To make your loved ones extra proud? To learn from other talented students? And to win $500? The CSU Research Competition can help you achieve these goals. Apply by February 8.
To help prepare your application, the College of Liberal & Creative Arts will hold a workshop February 1, 4pm – 5pm, in the Humanities Building, room 213. Jennifer Arin, English lecturer and recipient of a Distinguished Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching, and Susan B. Shimanoff, associate dean for student and curricular services, will facilitate the workshop.
CSU Student Research Competition
The CSU Student Research Competition provides an opportunity for both graduate and undergraduate students to present their outstanding research projects and creative works in a formal academic competition. Students who are currently enrolled, as well as those who graduated in the spring, summer or fall semesters of 2016, are eligible.
The SF State level of the competition, scheduled for February 20 – 24, is an excellent way to gain experience presenting research at conferences and symposiums and would look great on your résumé or curriculum vitae. The University sends up to 10 campus winners to compete in the CSU-wide competition. The 31st annual California State University Student Research Competition takes place April 28 – 29 at California State University, San Luis Obispo.
