Professor Tuman Comments on Crackdown of Unauthorized Parties in Oakland

SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE -- San Francisco State University Professor Joe Tuman, who ran unsuccessfully for mayor against Libby Schaaf in 2014, said that if officers have the impulse to report a dangerous living situation, they were doing their jobs correctly. “You have to have a solution that balances enough housing for everybody but guarantees public safety, and frankly the public safety has to come first,” Tuman said.
