Poetry Clips of the Week: Poetry Center Chapbook Exchange

Tuesday, May 23, 2017

These video clips are the part of a series highlighting recent readings held by SF State’s Poetry Center and American Poetry Archives. Visit this website regularly for fresh poetic content.

On April 6, The Poetry Center hosted Maw Shein Win, Carrie Hunter, Melissa Eleftherion, Aja Couchois Duncan and Trevor Calvert reading from their contributions to The Poetry Center Chapbook Exchange, an online community for poets to share and collaborate through chapbooks. A conversation with the audience followed their readings.

Shein Win reads “love love” from her chapbook Ruins of a glittering palace (SPA, 2013).

Hunter reads from her chapbook Linguascapes (ypolita press, 2012).

Eleftherion reads “Little stem resist parental tyranny ...” from her chapbook PrismMaps (dusie kollektiv, 2014).

Couchois Duncan reads from her chapbook Nomenclature, Miigaadwin, a Forked Tongue.

Calvert reads from his chapbook Tide and Mermera.
