Calaveras High Valedictorian Zoey Spears to Study Journalism at SF State

CALAVERAS ENTERPRISE -- Valley Springs native Zoey Spears, daughter of Jamie Spears, will attend San Francisco State University in the fall. She plans to major in journalism and is looking to have the freedom to dictate how she spends her time and energy when she officially becomes an Alligator. Although she’s excited for the freedom of college, she said she will miss the love and support of the staff at Calaveras High. “I would tell them to appreciate what they have,” Spears advised her underclassmen. “It’s easy to complain, but high school is what you make it.”
