Wednesday, June 14, 2017
SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE -- As many local film fans know, the actor best known for the “Lethal Weapon” films was born and raised in San Francisco (Washington High School, San Francisco State University) and has been a longtime friend of the festival. At 6pm Thursday, June 15, Glover is to present his latest film, the Nigerian-made “93 Days,” a slick real-life thriller set during Africa’s Ebola crisis in 2014. He’s also expected to stay after the screening for a lengthy Q&A and discussion of his work, which includes not only his movies, but also his humanitarian work as a UNICEF ambassador.
