WOSU-FM, ALL SIDES WITH ANN FISHER (THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY, COLUMBUS, OHIO) -- A new play showing in Columbus puts the history of an LGBT couple center stage.

“The Turkey Men,” follows a gay couple from the Civil War era who live on their old turkey farm as ghosts. The couple meet and eventually help a young lesbian girl who is faced with conversion therapy.

This play is just one way that entertainment is telling LGBT stories, although this hasn’t always been the case.

Guests include Marc Stein, historian, Professor of History, San Francisco State University, author of the new book “The Stonewall Riots: A Documentary History.”
