Alum Katie McQuone Wins Milken Educator Award, 'The Oscars of Teaching'

THE BUSINESS JOURNAL (FRESNO) -- McQuone is a former Sunnyside video production student herself, going on to earn a bachelor’s degree in radio, television and electronic media in 2009 from San Francisco State University.

“Katie McQuone is a superstar in our district,” said Fresno Unified School District Superintendent Bob Nelson, in a statement “She gives selflessly to better Sunnyside High School and provide amazing opportunities for our students. We’re thrilled that her hard work and dedication is being recognized nationally through the Milken Family Foundation and we can’t wait to see what’s next for Katie and her students!”
