Center for Iranian Diaspora Studies Wins Grants to Build Bay Area Archive

SF WEEKLY -- Locally, San Francisco State University launched a first-of-its-kind Center for Iranian Diaspora Studies in 2016 thanks to an endowment from Iranian American alma mater and local philanthropist Neda Nobari. The center’s director, Persis Karim, received grants last year to build an archive of Iranians in the Bay Area and produce a documentary, though it needs more funding.
